A data network is a device built onto a 3rd generation and fourth generation phone for users to access internet from a particular area. It offers users data transfer rates and it enables users to have full motion video and use other high bandwidth applications. Though the new 4G is the newly updated version of generation phones and it offers more data storage and it is much faster with updates and browsing for results on the internet. It also offers a higher voice transfer than the 3G at much faster rates.
Wireless - A wireless connection is used in nearly every device that shows videos and audio and gaming devices. Wireless devices are usually used for consoles with game controls, the new smart high definition televisions wire wireless remotes which are powered by battery or charge. a wireless sound system sends audio information such as music or Tv sound to wirelesws headphones or speakers. A wireless network connected laptop computer sends and receives packets of complex data, allowing communication with other laptops/ computer with other online users. This would be used say for social websites or video connecting websites.
Bluetooth - The Bluetooth is an application which is installed as a programme on the phone. Bluetooth is usually used when users want to send downloads which they have installed on their phones and from this they can send each other songs and videos. The Bluetooth works by picking up Bluetooth names on the Persons phone. Usually on the phone the person can call their Bluetooth connection a name which they know is theirs and they can tell other users what they can send their software to. It can pick up loads of bluetooth connections in the one area. Usually on the phone the User can switch on and off their Bluetooth.
NIC (Network Interface Card) - Also known as the Ethernet card or the Network adapter is an expansion card that enables a computer to connect to a network such as a home network or an internet using a Ethernet connection. This is usually used for laptops with no wireless network. A network card is usually on board in the motherboard but if not that is what this card is used for.
