Newry can be bought for over £800. This could be bought in Curry’s. From the reviews in Curry's it's an ideal hardware to have as it is ideal for students. The view drom the laptops screen is amazing as it gives gorgeous high definition displays.
Why I chose it?
I
chose HP as it is the Hardware I am using every day to Complete all my subjects
that are involved to achieve my Level 2 Diploma over the course of the year and
it has made me more aware while working with it of having a better Knowledge on
IT skills and better explanation of how a normal pc runs.
Database reports
What is it?
They are used to store and handle data such as
details for a particular business who are trying to base information on a
particular situation. This would also be vital in the medical field as well as
this would be useful at a local surgery or hospitals taking medical
appointments. This is to make appointments and keep on track of whose turn it
is to see a particular doctor. This is done on Microsoft access that is used to
make reports on tables. On Microsoft Access you will be able to organise your
databases in fields, records and files.
Price:
Well as Microsoft access come along with the Microsoft office package it would be involved with word and PowerPoint and many more office programs, which costs about £100. This can be bought in curry’s or Argos.
Why I chose it?
Internet
What is it? The internet is global software that is used widely
across the world by many people from continent to continent and across the
globe. The internet is mainly used for
users browsing on the internet but social networking sites are the main use on
the internet with people socialising with each other. There are a few types of
browsers to choose from such as Firefox, Google Chrome and internet explorer.
Nearly every hardware device now can access the internet.
Price: The internet is
available all the time for people to use as it is free but to access the
internet you will need a Wi-Fi connection spot which usually comes with your
phone bill from a particular ISP (Internet service provider), such as BT, Sky
and Talk talk. But from my own experience being a BT customer I know from the
infinity package it costs about £7.50 a month including for browsing purposes.
Types of internet explorers can be downloaded for free.
Why I chose it? Well its very easy to
use, its useful for all age groups and its keeps many users up to date of
what’s going on around the world and as it is free why would no one use it.
Transfer Large Video Files
What is it? All hardware devices are able to transfer data such
as video files but all hardware devices differ from each other so they have
different limits to what they can transfer. But if you were to transfer a video
from YouTube to your Email account to send to friends, family or friends then
you should join YouTube and make your own channel with all the videos you like
and from here you can comment on videos and like and dislike video’s. If your
friends have
their own YouTube account or channel they will be able to access you channel
and your friend’s uploaded videos being transferred from devices to go on
YouTube and let your friends see what interests you.
Price: It’s free and available every browser and very easy
to transfer large files from any social networking websites and it’s very easy
to set up email accounts to join social networking websites.
Why I chose it? Its not something you
would choose its more to use to send close friends your opinions and what
interests you most but it is interesting to post up videos in classes to see
what interests you may interest others.
Computer game- Sport, Educational and Other game of your choice
Price: Games for any hardware
device are dear especially when released and with such a big interest in the
users may want them when released. Fifa 14 itself costs about £60 when released
same as Call of duty and educational games may be far cheaper costing around
£15 - £20.
Why I chose it? I chose it as a lot of
people have consoles and may enjoy gaming a lot and not only that but games
such as Fifa allow you connect with other gamers and go head to head in live
matches and Fifa also offers other packages such as ultimate team where gamers
play to win prizes for team. So he reason why I would choose a game for a
console is that I can go online and play other gamers this can also be done on
Call of duty. All these computer games can be bought in HMV or Game
or Extra vision or Argos. From the reviews I got on Fifa 14 from Game I read that out of the Fifa PC games it is the best one yet as it has good clear graphics and its offers the gamers a wide range of options in the game.
What is it? A Digital camera is a camera that can take High
definition pictures and can make recorded videos in high resolution digital
form and the user can upload they’re pictures on they’re computer by connecting
their camera with a USB cable lead into the USB port in the hard drive of the
computer and from here users can upload pictures on social media websites.
Price: A Samsung digital
camera costs around £419 and the camera comes in black or white and it contains
different types of lenses with the camera. This can be bought in currys. From the review I got from Curry's on this HP camera i read that it gives viewers many options as it gives people the option to really catch an image up close as it comes with a 36 optical zoom and that it comes with a good point and shoot with the clearest image you can find as it has a compact sensor and 14 megapixels.
Why I chose it? I chose this digital
camera as it is small and easy to carry around with you and when it comes with
other lenses it is easy to set up when taking long sided photos or short sided
videos and it will take very clear pictures with no pixels.
Spreadsheets
What is it? Spreadsheets is a program part of the Microsoft
Office package and it is under Microsoft Excel and it is used to sort data in
fixed tables and it is where you can edit data with bar charts and other types
of information. It is good to use for office work.
Price: This would be at least
£100 as it comes with the Microsoft office package. This can be bought in Curry’s
or Argos.
Why I chose it? I chose it as it is
very useful to have when doing work to make calculations on sums of statistical
information and it can be easy to look at calculation as Excel lets you creates
different types of data on spreadsheets. If there were a few pages made on particular
information you can create a home page for your spreadsheets a link pages with
hyperlinked macros. From reviews I got on Microsoft I read this is the ideal progra to use on Microsoft as it gives people usually working in an office to sort out basic information with statistics and it gives calculations as quick as a calculator.
What is it? An email is an
electronic messenger which is used to communicate with people such as the
persons personal contacts they added to their email account and from this they
can communicate with people from any part of the world.
Price: It costs nothing as it
is free to use for everyone and there are various email accounts they can use
such as yahoo, google, Hotmail and Gmail are a few to choose from but there are
lots other.
Why I chose it? It’s a great way of
keeping in touch and keeping up to date with something that might concern you.
It’s great if you were looking to catch up on work the person could of missed
at school or if work colleges were trying to see what they missed. From the reviews I got opn gmail i read that it is a very basic email provider and its easy to use as you can compose messages in detailed form and its easily laid out with you inbox and outbox provided were yo can look up your contacts.
Colour printer
What is it? A colour printer is a printer that prints documents
in colour and it is usually connected to a computer through cable but the new
printers have Bluetooth so it will be easier to print and it connects faster to
print. In a HP colour printer to insert a tri colour ink cartridge you have to
plug it in the top.
Price: The latest HP printer
cost about £200 to buy but it has many colours that can be put in it but
included a colour cartridge it costs all together about another £25. This can be
